"Nothing
but blackness above
And nothing that moves but the cars...
God, if you wish for our love,
Fling us a handful of stars!"
-Louis Untermeyer
Camping
can be a fun and wonderful way to get closer with nature. Since
Cal Poly's land has so much to offer, any one of your day hikes
can easily turn into an overnight campout. You may make your campout
as enjoyable as possible, but must leave no impact on the land.
Remember that your area must look exactly the way it did before
you got there. There are no fires, stoves, or tents permitted.
There
are no official designated campsites and no restroom facilities.
Bring a sleeping bag and find a quiet spot a short distance from
any trail.
