El Mustang / The Mustang Daily
, 1938-present -- Includes articles and opinion pieces on student, faculty and administrative projects and studies pertaining to water and water management on campus. An index to El Mustang/Mustang Daily is available in the University Archives.

Staff Bulletin / Cal Poly Report, 1956- present -- Includes announcements and brief articles relating to student, faculty and administrative projects and and studies pertaining to water and water management on campus. Articles tend to be briefer than those in Mustand Daily. (indexed through 1980s)

Course Bulletins / Catalogs, 1903-present -- Catalogs provide descriptions of coursework in which natural resources, water management and related topics are taught. Instruction in surveying and construction of irrigation and water management systems (dams, weirs, wells, pumps, waste water management, etc.) was included in the Agriculture Course and the Mechanics Course as early as 1903-04.

The Polytechnic Journal, 1906-1926 -- Occasional articles by students describing surveying trips and building projects (e.g. dams and weirs). Articles are sometimes illustrated with photographs.

Senior Projects -- Senior projects in the form of environmental studies, water analysis, engineering and architectural projects, etc., are cataloged in Polycat, Kennedy Library's online catalog. Projects are available on microfiche in the library's Reference Department or in the University Archives.

Record Groups

Reports of the Directors/Presidents of the CPS/U, 1902-present. -- Early reports provide detailed information about campus resources, facilities, expenditures, including outlining of plans and needs for the future. From 1902 to 1940, water management figures prominently in appeals for funding and for approval of campus improvement projects.

Land Acquisition & Water Rights, Water Supply, ca.1920s-1956 (gaps) -- Files include handbooks and policies; correspondence, and memoranda; contracts and agreements.

Use and Allocation of Facilities, ca. 1960s-1980s -- This series includes reports, correspondence and ephemera and other materials concerning individual buildings/facilities (University Union, Co - Generational Plant)

Campus Maps, Plans and Blueprints, ca. 1909-1990s -- Collection includes plans of the campus and topographic maps showing natural and manmade resources.
